We are situated in Kaukapakapa, about 15 km north of Helensville in North Auckland (see map on Contact details page) which comprises 220 acres of easy to medium hill country with some pretty areas of native bush. The pasture is mixed, with mostly very good grazing paddocks, but there are also a few acres of rough pasture.

While the auction catalogue is old and most animals have sold, there are still a few available, plus cattle that have been born since. Just ask if there is anything there you are interested in, and if that animal has sold, we may have another with similar breeding or "look" available.
Doug began farming in 1965, working on a number of sheep and cattle farms, including PAKI-ITI Romney Stud in the North Island. Although he had a number of years living in Auckland, he kept up his interest and hands-on experience up to date during this time.
In 1992 he, wife Jenny and family moved to their present farm at Kaukapakapa, and in 1994 the Magna Poll Dorset Sheep Stud was established.
Early in 2005, the stud operation was expanded to include cattle, with the purchase of Fullblood and Pure Bred Highland cows, yearling heifers and a Fullblood bull. This is our Eadon Fold. They just love to tuck in to the harder pastured paddocks, often ignoring the areas of lush grass. In February 2007 we began showing our animals at the local A & P Shows, and look forward to continuing this.
